Harper and fellow Vikings UDFA Ty James became the second and third Mercer alums to sign with an NFL organization since the program was reinstated in 2013.

COLLEGE - GARDNER-WEBB/MERCER

Began his collegiate career at Gardner-Webb (2019-Spring 2021) before transferring to Mercer.
At Mercer (2021-23), amassed 4,358 career all-purpose yards and 23 touchdowns, including 1,929 receiving yards on 159 receptions and 1,346 kickoff return yards on 54 attempts.
The Bears all-time punt return leader (625) and all-time leader in all-purpose yards (4,358).
As a junior in 2022, conference leader with 16 total touchdowns, including 10 receiving and four rushing touchdowns, one kickoff return for a touchdown and one punt return for a touchdown.
Led the SoCon with an average of 29.1 yards per kick return in 2022, and his 1,878 all-purpose yards set a school record and ranked fourth in the country.
First player in program history to return a punt for a touchdown since 2014 with his 87-yard punt returned for a touchdown against VMI on Oct. 29, 2022.
Returned two punts for touchdowns in 2020 as a sophomore at Gardner-Webb.
As a true freshman at Gardner-Webb in 2019, saw action in 12 games, starting 10, and was second on the team with 51 receptions and 653 yards and four touchdowns.
